These Terms and Conditions govern the use of the website and purchases made through El Diván’s online store, including blinds, curtains, awnings, and furniture.
1. Use of the site and services
By using this website, you confirm that you are of legal age in your jurisdiction or have authorization from a legal guardian. El Diván reserves the right to refuse or cancel service to anyone, at any time, for any reason.
2. Information and content accuracy
We strive to display accurate and up-to-date information regarding products, prices, images, descriptions, and availability. However, typographical, technical, or human errors may occur. El Diván reserves the right to correct, modify, or update information at any time without prior notice.
Product images are for illustrative purposes and may show variations in color, grain, texture, or finish due to handcrafted processes, natural materials, or screen settings.
3. Prices and payment methods

All prices are in Mexican pesos (MXN) and include VAT.

We accept credit card, debit card, and PayPal payments.

Prices may change without prior notice.

All orders are subject to validation, availability, and confirmation.

In the event of an obvious pricing error, El Diván may cancel the order and refund the amount paid.
4. Customized products and made-to-order manufacturing
Many of our products—including blinds, curtains, awnings, and custom furniture—are made to order based on customer specifications.
Therefore:

Orders cannot be canceled once manufacturing has begun.

Returns are not accepted, except in cases of manufacturing defects or errors attributable to El Diván or the supplier.

For orders without installation service, the customer is responsible for providing accurate measurements and specifications.
5. Furniture
5.1 Custom furniture

Manufactured according to agreed specifications (dimensions, materials, finishes).

May present natural variations inherent to wood and handcrafted processes.
-
No changes or returns apply once manufacturing has begun.
-
Furniture delivery is available only in Cuernavaca, Morelos.
5.2 Non-custom furniture (standard or catalog)

Returns may apply only if the product has not been used, installed, or damaged, and with prior express authorization from El Diván.

Shipping and pickup costs are non-refundable.

Delivery is limited to Cuernavaca, Morelos.
6. Special orders outside the platform
For special orders or integrated projects:

A formal quote will be sent by email.

A minimum 70% deposit is required.

The deposit is non-refundable once manufacturing begins or the product is reserved.
7. Installation (blinds, curtains, and awnings only)
Installation applies exclusively to blinds, curtains, and awnings. Furniture is delivered as a finished product and does not include installation.
Installation service is available only in:

Mexico City (CDMX)

Cuernavaca

Metropolitan areas
Cost: MXN $200 per unit.
Mandatory pre-installation visit

Scheduled after the order is placed.

A specialist verifies measurements and site conditions.
-
Manufacturing (4–8 business days, depending on the supplier) begins after this visit.
Installation
-
A tentative date is scheduled.
-
The date is confirmed once the supplier releases the order.
-
Installation is not performed on the same day as delivery.
The customer must ensure proper access and disclose any property restrictions. If the area is not eligible, only the installation service fee will be refunded.
8. Responsibility for measurements

For orders without installation, the customer assumes full responsibility for the measurements provided.

For orders with installation, final measurements are validated during the pre-installation visit.

El Diván is not responsible for errors resulting from incorrect information provided by the customer.
9. Warranties

Blinds and curtains: warranty against manufacturing defects, subject to supplier policies.
-
Custom furniture: 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects.
The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, material variations, misuse, moisture, impact damage, modifications, or negligence.
10. Shipping and delivery

We offer nationwide shipping for blinds, curtains, and awnings.
-
Furniture is delivered only in Cuernavaca, Morelos.
-
Furniture delivery does not include special handling (hoisting, crane use, disassembly, etc.) unless quoted in advance.

If the customer is unavailable to receive the order, rescheduling will incur an additional fee.

11. Order cancellation by El Diván
El Diván may cancel orders when:

There are obvious pricing or information errors.

The area is not eligible for delivery or installation.
-
Technical or logistical requirements are not met.

Shipment cannot be completed.
In such cases, only amounts corresponding to products or services not manufactured or provided will be refunded.
12. Intellectual property
All site content (texts, images, logos, designs) is owned by El Diván or used with authorization. Full or partial reproduction without prior written consent is prohibited.
13. Personal data
Personal data processing is governed by our Privacy Policy, available on this website.
14. Limitation of liability
El Diván shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the website or products. Maximum liability is limited to the amount actually paid for the product or service.
15. Changes to the terms
El Diván reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. The current version is the one published on this page.
